Service Description

This essential step in the boat-buying or selling process provides critical knowledge about the vessel’s ability to make way and maneuver under its own power. Combine a sea-trial with an out-of-water survey for a complete understanding of the state of the vessel. This session includes: - Underway functional testing of the engine(s), engine controls, steering systems, running rigging, and working sail performance. - Online photo and video album of discrepancies - Pre-underway checklist - Recommended equipment - Recommended service providers - Recommended how-to videos, websites, and books - Tides, currents, and weather resources - Detailed written report (only if combined with an in-water or our-of-water survey) Cost: $100 per hour. Typically takes 1-2 hours, given immediate access to appropriate waterways and conditions.
